Wide Eyed Wonder

How can I not be grateful?
Tiny water particles fall frozen and fateful,
Creating mounds of soft white.
Tiny crystals in flight.
How can I deny His portrayal?
I breathe in the air, my nose takes in a smell,
Bread is baking, I can tell. The smell travels to my brain, the scent is good.
Without me knowing how, the nose works as it should. He created me more detailed than anyone can tell.
I wonder, have you seen
The fat little bees,
Whose tiny little wings
Defy gravity, those small things.
And carry them, busy through the breeze.
And as each little leaf
Buds from the trees,
Bright and fresh it blooms
Shoving aside their winter tombs,
All that beauty, I fall and worship on my knees.
Sunshine streams through a window,
As a dark room lit with a fire kindled.
The light exposes the dirt in the air
As it dances and sparkles without care
Of the room it blankets with a fabric simple.
On my knees in awe,
In the deep dark sky I saw
Green and purple lights dance. The sun on the other side sends flares, per chance? His joy and light without a flaw.
Music hails hearts from men.
Notes heard and held on to before an end.
Notes heard, sometimes more felt.
Rises and falls, pains and joys dealt.
It’s hands, softly, firmly, grasping your heart to tend.
His music fills the breeze,
As the wind through the leaves.
The conductor swings His arms,
All time, woven through like yarn. His symphony clasps in its hand all the ages.
How can I not be grateful? How through all the times so fitful,
How it’s all so wild within the form,
And from Him we can’t be torn.
He will guide each footfall.
How can I not be grateful?
With His beauty, He fills each day full.
All creation mirrors His face,
All time is wrapped up in His grace.
Look up, and see the light.
