Reasons to Sacrifice the Sunset.

When I awake this morning
The sky is painted with pink clouds.
My weary head does not feel renewed.
As the northern prairie shakes it’s blanket of dew and awakes to watch the sky yawn with the morning blues, I groan as I step into a graceful new day.
Last nights rain leaves a lingering smell in the green ground. Storm and growth singing hand in hand of the fresh morning and the new start.
Even the birds, they tweet a song of hope, all answering one another with a new note.
Fog hovers over the water, much like the fog in my head. But both will be softly dispelled by the morning rays.
These morning rays that remind me that although I missed the sunset, it was a worthy sacrifice for the sunrise.
