What a privilege to grow up with dear brother of mine.
A best friend and formidable foe,
Our matching scraped knees
And vagabond hearts
Remind us what dragons we’ve slayed together.
Oh, what kingdoms we have ruled!
You know my heart, you have been my fondest friend.
But some days our wooden swords would clash against each other.
Somedays it was different kingdoms we ruled
And we’d fight for what belonged to neither of us.
It's in the trees and the wind we’d sing or sigh.
Together and forever
Our honor as knights, glory as cowboys,
And success as spies, will stand,
And remind us of our innocent, free hearts.
And though our feet will not always run wild,
Our hearts will.
And always in remembrance of you and I
And the grand adventure of growing up.
